If I look at file info for the items I ripped, I see that it says "encoded with" "iTunes 12.2.2.25" so it's not that the items were ripped with different software.E: 04:12:35,167 webservice._handle_reply:387: Network request error for (♫ you make it easy%5C%5Bvia %5C%5D%29 qdur%3A%2898%29: Error transferring (♫ you make it easy%5C%5Bvia %5C%5D%29 qdur%3A%2898%29 - server replied: Internal Server Error (QT code 401, HTTP code 500)Į: 04:12:35,167 file._lookup_finished:649: Network error encountered during the lookup for C:\Users\Donna.000\Music\Radio\♫ You Make It Easy.mp3. I tried using "Get Track Names" on a song I recently ripped while online and I'm getting the same error message (I'm pretty sure that in the past, iTunes would have reverted the track name information if I'd modified it after ripping - so it looks like that behavior changed as well). My suggestion is pull the 'Original release date' from musicbrainz (not the 'release date', but the 'original release date'). I did not find out where this release date comes from. Unfortunately, MBS states the release date to be. I am using MusicBrainz Picard to do batch tag editing and lookup. This is the original release date and is an information, which is available through the Musicbrainz API. But didn’t think to use for my music since it would just overwrite all the work. If I rip CDs while online, iTunes is able to pull the track information just fine. I dont know but the way i solve the problem is first I convert all of my musics to. This would be my go to in Ubuntu/Pi But usually I don’t see it mentioned either. There were about 30 CDs that I had ripped, a mixture of old and new releases, and I'm pretty positive iTunes/CDDB would know about most of them. I can still use Picard to process other works. If I scan the files without clustering, Picard no longer crashes, but the albums show as loading album information. It finds the entry based on the MusicBrainz ID already embedded. This is because MusicBrainz distinguishes between individual releases of a given album. The album I mention, works fine if I cluster, and lookup. Now, go back to the tag menu, name the custom tag (original date) and have it point to the defined tag you just generated instead of 'save to MB's database'. In the basic 'Date' field, MusicBrainz Picard tagger puts the date of the specific medium that is the source of your set of mp3 or flac or whatever files. Yesterday when I tried this, iTunes told me "CDDB information is not available for some of these items" and none of them were updated. You have to define a custom tag (see 'define tag' button on lower right hand corner in your last pic. Then I could connect to the internet later, select "Get Track Names" and iTunes would load the track information (artists, song title, etc.) Previously, I was able to rip music while offline.

This started happening after upgrading to iTunes 12.2. Merging Releases Removing Entities Adding Cover Art Identifying Labels Splitting Artists Artist Credits Adding Standalone Recordings Adding Disc IDs Searching for Edits Working with AcoustIDs Tagging Files with Picard.
